ClaudeAutonomous uses GitHub Personal Access Tokens for identity — the same model your engineering team already trusts. Layered access falls out of that naturally. The system enforces what each role can ask Claude about.

For your team, this means: no awkward “can you ask the AI for me?” requests. No data leaking into chats people shouldn’t see. No retroactive cleanup when a contractor’s engagement ends.

YOUR DATA

Where your data lives, and who has it

ClaudeAutonomous runs on your hardware (Mac Minis today; AWS in the near future). Your customer data, your financials, your internal Slack — they stay where they always have. Claude reaches into them through MCP bridges only when an authorized user asks.

No vendor lock-in for your data. No required SaaS subscription where everything routes through a third-party AI cloud. If you choose to use Anthropic’s Claude API (which is what powers the conversations), you control which queries hit it and which don’t.
